    Kunihiro Amano is a leading Japanese artist of the second half of the 20th century. The designs of his woodblock prints are figural, semi-abstract or abstract compositions in geometrical or natural forms.
    Kunihiro Amano was born in Hirosake, Aomori Prefecture in 1929. He graduated from Aomori Prefectural Technical School and attended classes at Musashino University of Art. Kunihiro Amano exhibited with the Japanese Print Association in 1955 and at the Tokyo International Print Biennale in 1957 and Ljubljana in 1963. Art works by Kunihiro Amano are in the collections of major museums like the Washington Library of Congress.
