    - Supplemental Historical Information:
I could find no Directory or Catalog reference to Susquehanna exhibiting in Chicago at the Fair but this sturdy and elaborate ad shows they were
    firm supporters of the WCE
. Founded in 1880 by Quakers they sold processed bone fertilizers largely in southern Pennsylvania judging by the various testimonials in the booklet. Susquehanna
    appealed their 1890 court judgement
for damaging their neighboring hotel business with its smoke and acidic fumes but lost again but at least was not declared a public nuisance. There were 27 fertilizer factories in the Baltimore area at the time. They have no extended history that I could find but an
    1899 memo pad
by Susquehanna was sold on eBay awhile back.
