    Description

    CASTLES ICE CREAM, Perth Amboy, NJ Cardboard Sign, Antique EARLY 20th Century in ORIGINAL, PERIOD FRAME W/ ORIGINAL CHAIN HANGER.  AWESOME!
    I assume this, at one time, also had a calendar in the middle of it but I am not certain. Most likely dates from the 1920’s as Castles Ice Cream had a factory at that time in Perth Amboy NJ and they started making ice cream, prior to constructing the factory, in the 1880’s. The sign states that “For over 35 years…” So, the 1920’s time period seems to fit.
    Frame (with glass) measures 13 1/4” x 16 1/4”.
    CONDITION: Frame has some wear appropriate to its age. Cardboard sign has some minor areas of damage-see photos- but still truly displays beautifully! A RARE GEM HERE!
