    Description

Completely original antique Boston MA iron and porcelain double street sign - Commercial Street at Fleet Street. This is an intersection on Boston's Inner Harbor that is still there. Made by the Municipal Street Sign Company in 1920, which also made all the NYC signs of the era. This is rarer than those.
Cast iron with two-color porcelain street name inserts. The sign's arms are at an acute "V" angle to each other of about 75 degrees, which mimics the actual "V" shape of the intersection still in use today. Includes the two original pole attachment brackets. Very heavy, over 40 lbs., hence the shipping charges.
