This is an extraordinary, stunning and beautifully detailed HUGE EIGHT FOOT LONG early circa 1910 enormous wooden advertising trade sign. Beautifully crafted, extraordinarily colored with stunning age and character this sign will look equally unbelievable hanging over a sofa or dining room table or even displayed in a restaurant or bar. Would also obviously be an amazing addition to any early camera or antique photography collection. The overall condition is remarkable with tons and tons of age and character. There is a lengthwise age crack across approx 3/4 of sign but I have always loved that and it only adds to the look and character. It is not through, it is not damage, the sign is not splitting... it is part of the age, character and beauty of the sign. This sign obviously spent its life hanging over a photography studio around the turn of the century. A one of a kind sign and a rare opportunity to own a beautiful early advertising piece from a very, very rare subject matter.
The sign measures 98.5" long, 18" tall and is approx 2" thick. It's a high quality handmade piece with beautiful self framed multi layered mitered corners, stunning hand painted lettering and deep rich colors. An amazing 100+ year old work of art!
