1910s Flexlume Milk Glass Letter Radio Sign Trade Bar Studio Lighted Pre Neon. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Great original flexlume radios sign. This sign is a very rare hard to find Pre-neon milk glass letter sign. The sign is all original and is very hard to find with the original letters. This also has what appears to me to be a 1940s of age, neon transformer. This had a neon boarder added at a later date. The boarder could be done fairly reasonably and would look great if the boarder was the same color blue as the radio part.
The wiring is the original wiring and works but I would suggest a new plug for it. As is it does work. It’s always highly advised to have any antique wiring to be inspected by a certified electrician which I am not. The letters fit in fine and a tab can be bent from the back to hold in the letter.
Both letter A’s have a small stress crack in them but they both are still very intact and solid. Also not the spaces between the letters are missing some piece of corrugated metal. Finally the panel at the bottom is a newer metal. The look has a wonderful look but unfortunately at some point it most have been lost and replaced with this.

The shipping has to very clear and understood that this a is a very fragile and expensive sign. That being said I can arrange a personal mover to pick the sign up and transport it anywhere in the lower 48 for 0. The sign I believe should have the letters removed and shipped without them in it. It would have to be reassembled which is fairly easy on sight. It would be preferred if local pick up could be made instead. You will have to sign off on this shipment so you or someone will need to be present on delivery.
