    Description

From what I gather this is a lithograph titled “U.S. Man of War” featuring a battleship with the World’s Columbian Exposition in the background. The initials of the artist are C.S. and this was copyrighted in 1891 by the Winter’s Art Litho. Co., Chicago. On the back side of the picture is a write-up of the Hall of Mines and Mining. I don’t know if this came out of a book however I don’t see where it was ever part of a book. None of the edges look like they have been taken out of a book. Obviously, the write-up on the back doesn’t match the picture. I’m not sure where this came from. There are some issues especially along the edges with missing corners, rips, discoloration, a piece of tape on the back (last 5 pictures). It is still a great piece because of age and subject matter!!
Please look over the pictures and ask questions before bidding. The pictures are a big part of the description.
