    Description

This high-quality Chromolithograph of The Midway Plaisance is a good size and measures 14 1/2 x 11 inches.  It was originally painted by Thure de Thurlstrup (1848-1930 Swedish/American).   The litho was made by "The Winters Art Press" as noted bottom right corner.
Notation at bottom "The Book of the Founders"    "Copyright, 1894, Columbian Memorial Publication Society"  "Supplement to the Columbian Serial, Vol. 1, No.3, May 5, 1894"
Near pristine condition, fresh and bright, this piece came from an important special research admission only reference library collection that was recently digitized.
It is loosely mounted on an acid free mount.  The litho can easily be removed as the mounting substance is not a glue but a substance that is peelable.   I easily took a number of pieces off these mounts with my fingers.   Leave on or take off, it is up to you.  It is more secure on the mount, so I left it there.
Item ships well and properly packed, supported and boxed and fully insured.
