    Description

This paper BUTTERFLY fan is part of the series I currently have listed (with the OWL and the FLOWER).  It is hard to tell from the photos but there are some gold flakes remaining on the "Brown/Gold" leaf and a light silver edging around the leaf.  The "World's Fair 1893" looks hand painted in gold.  The bamboo rib support of the paper leaf is reminiscent of Japanese Uchiwa fan fabrication.  The leaf is 9-1/4" W x 9" H and the total fan with the black lacquered stick is 14" high.
Please contact me for more details or detailed photos.  If you know of another fan in the series other than the owl, flower and butterfly - I would like to know.
A must have for your world's fair collection!!
